Sometimes, she thought, courage was simply a matter of putting one foot in front of another and not stopping. -Anita Shreve.

    The Harry to my Charlotte.

No relationship is perfect, ever. There are always some ways you have to bend, to compromise, to give something up in order to gain something greater...The love we have for each other is bigger than these small differences. And that's the key. It's like a big pie chart, and the love in a relationship has to be the biggest piece. Love can make up for a lot.
Life isn't perfect, there are cracks in everything. At the end of the day, the only thing you can hope for is that through the cracks- you see a little sunshine. B x

Although you may drift in and out of fantasy land today, at least you can clearly tell the difference between your hopeful dreams and what is real. It's a gift to be able to paint your future in the colors you prefer, without confusing your fanciful illusions with the important issues you now face. Be thankful for your ability to escape, but don't forget to come back to earth and meet your obligations, for that's what will bring you true satisfaction.

Saturday night was my Dad's 54th birthday party. We had about 37 people, ranging in ages from 17 to 78years!!... it was a, for lack of a better word, HOOT!

There was sushi, champagne and cupcakes!
There was music, old friends and good family.
    I played photographer!
    I wore my fierce jumpsuit!!
    I was the Dancing Queen

And most importantly, my Dad had a great time!

Today I am feeling discouraged and my heart is sore.
Sometimes I wish I were a little kid again, skinned knees are easier to fix than broken hearts.

Charlotte and Harry. I love this couple! These two remind me alot of myself and the Boyf. If ever two people were oh-so-perfect for each other, it's C&H (and yes, I know they aren't real, I choose to live in this fantasy world)

Harry: [talking about his mother's insistence that he marry a Jewish woman] Keeping tradition alive is very important to her. She lost family in the Holocaust.

    Charlotte: [makes a face]

    Harry: What?

Charlotte: Well, now I can't say anything because you've brought up... the Holocaust.

Yes, I am currently re-watching season 6, where they breakup, get engaged and live happily ever after. Its nice to get up on a Saturday morning, make yourself a coffee and escape reality for an hour or so.

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. ~Washington Irving

This was my breakfast this morning. No butter, no salt but very yummy!! It's part of my new eating habits... Ive noticed lately that I am always tired, have headaches, feel foggy and have trouble sleeping.

Yesterday I bought the book 'You Are What You Eat' and while reading it this morning, I was reading challenged to change my eating habits. The book promotes eating 'closer to the ground' and food that is in much more of a natural state. I don't think that my eating has ever been out of control, but just little things like sugar, caffeine and salt have a huge effect on the body. I think that Australia is becoming (and perhaps overtaking) America as far as our take out and coffee houses. So to sum it up, I will be cutting out or limiting- Anything white, caffeine, sugar sugar sugar, salt, dairy, preservatives, artificial sweeteners and red meats.
It sounds like a lot.. but when you think about it, it's just making a choice to make better choices.

I will let you know how I am feeling week by week!

    Amazing Dresses!

BEST: Anne Hathaway (left) in a stunning Valentino gown and Bulgari diamonds (such a princess gown). Rachel Weisz (right) in an Oscar de la Renta dress with Fred Leighton jewels (gorgeous lady, gorgeous pink dress). And Jlo? She needs no words!!

    And two not-so-amazing dresses!
WORST: Leighton Meester (left) in a ill fitting Marc Jacobs dress (why, Leighton, why?). Kristen Stewart (right) in a black Chanel dress with her trademark unimpressed look (not pretty)
We must all eventually leave the world our parents want for us behind! ~ Jim Carrey.

Hello Boots, welcome to your new home! I will love you and wear you and if you're good, take you on an all expenses paid trip to Europe!!

Do you like my new boots? I won them on eBay and picked them up this morning. I have been debating buying $400 Nine West boots for about a week now, and really couldn't bring myself to spend that much! Plus, I have always has this fascination with the old and 'preloved'... I like that there is a story to it... (and its usually doesn't cost you $400 to hear that story)

This week is going to be a good one! I have a morning tea planned (cupcakes mandatory), a movie night with Jess, a scrap night .... I must must must finish my America book and bind it already, a Brisbane vintage shopping day and a Barbie and Ken 21st birthday party!
Life is good and sweet! It really is what we choose to make it, so choose wisely!!!
